The Pulse of Progress

Potsdamer Platz is located in the most historic part of Berlin where the Berlin Wall once divided Germany. It is one of Europe's most dynamic mixed-use destinations, with over 130 stores, a 3-level shopping arcade, thriving entertainment venues where much loved local brands meet world-class entertainment and events, and everyday conveniences blend with extraordinary experiences.

Brookfield Properties appointed Noë & Associates to create a new brand and launch strategy as well as signage and wayfinding to unite new public realm with the indoor arcades.

A Dynamic Brand System

The 'Pulse of Progress' is the idea at the heart of the brand positioning, and inspired a visual identity that uses movement to activate and disrupt content. The triangle motif takes inspiration from the footprint of the site as well as its iconic architecture.

Signage & Wayfinding

Directional arrows are used in partnership with typography, and the Potsdamer Platz iconography set is directly influenced by brand typeface; geometric and modern.

Color blending symbolizes the eclectic mixed-use urban quarter and is part of a system that has longevity and flexibility.

Campaigns & Editorial Content

Potsdamer Platz is a thriving cultural quarter with a rich arts and events program, and plays host to the Berlin International Film Festival. We commissioned Heiko Prigge, a German photographer, to document local workers, visitors, and residents in an authentic and candid way.
